How long will the silver plating last?
It will last a long time 15 to 20 years if stored and cleaned properly.

How should I store my silver?
In an air tight hutch would be ideal. Do not wrap in cellophane as it locks
the air in and the pieces tarnish faster. We sell the Anti Tarnish Cloth which is
excellent for wrapping or making bags for your silver pieces. We also sell
Haggerty Protection Strips that you can put a strip into a cupboard or drawer.

What should I use to clean my silver with?
We recommend a great product called Tarni Shield. It's a cream cleaner and it
prevents tarnishing.

Can I put my silver in the dish washer?
"NO" the bleach in the soap and the hot water will discolour the silver and
will put pitts in it. The stainless steel from the knives affect the silver too and also the blades will come apart from the knives .

What do you do to the inside of copper pots?
We resilver the inside. It's healthier and its a better heat conductor for cooking.

Can you put something on my brass lamp after you clean it so it won't tarnish?
Yes we can lacquer it and it will stay like that for years to come.

Can I change my door hardware from brass to a different colour?
Yes you can. Brushed Satin Nickel or Shiny Nickel is very popular now and the
good thing about replating it is that the holes still fit.

My jewellery looks awful what can I do?
We can replate it in 24K Gold or resilver it so it looks new again.

Do you ever have sales?
Yes we do twice a year. 25% OFF all services and stock. Sept & Oct , Jan & Feb.

How do we know when to pick up our pieces?
We call you on the phone and leave you a message if you are not home.

What payment do you take?
Sorry we only take CASH or CHEQUES. No credit cards or debit cards.

Are you open Saturdays?
Yes only from 10:00 to 3:00. Closed Saturdays in JULY & AUGUST ONLY!!
